Beverly Jean Roggy

	Beverly Jean Roggy, nee Bean, was received into heaven on September 30, 2000 in Scottsboro, Alabama.  She was 69 years old and had resided in DuQuoin for the past 30 years.
	Beverly was born March 21, 1931 in Bloomington, Illinois to Dwight and Eva (Bahan) Bean.  She was united in marriage with Merle Roggy on December 23, 1951 in LeRoy, Illinois.  Beverly was an attentive homemaker and mother to three daughters.  She delighted in participating in her childrens lives by being a Girl Scout leader, Vacation Bible School teacher and volunteering in grade school art appreciation.  She also enjoyed reading, playing Bridge and spending time with her grandchildren.  While children and activities were important to her life, her person relationship with Jesus Christ sustained her through the last years of her life.
	 She will be lovingly remembered by Merle, her husband of 48 years; her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy Emling of Belleville, Lori and Tom parker of Scottsboro, Alabama and Julie and Larry Linskey of Belleville.  Beverly was blessed with six grandchildren:  Amy (Derek) Elder of Atlanta Georgia, Rachel, Eva and Seth Parker of Scottsboro, Alabama and Megan and Nicole Linskey of Belleville.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Dwight and Eva Bean.
	Visitation was held in DuQuoin at the Searby Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 4 from 5 until 7 p.m.  A funeral service was held in the chapel of Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 5 with Joseph Parker officiating.  Interment immediately followed.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
